It is true that becoming a disciple of our Lord will cost us a lot. This is why on the other hand, disciples of Christ are very precious in the Lord's sight. Even in his last and final moments, Jesus assured his disciples that he will be with them to the very ends of the earth (Matthew 28:19-20).

Guess what, even if he wants us to choose him above all, all these things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). Jesus is just very clear in his words that our intentions, and our faith should be for him and not for our benefit. Once we begin thinking for ourselves instead of what we can do for God, this is the beginning of our disobedience, thus disqualifying us to be his Disciple.

Here's another good title that you may like: The Cost Of A Precious Disciple.

I love this post. God bless to the writer.

I really wanted to watch this video b/c I have a Christian friend that believes this. However, this video keeps stopping and starting, over and over again. Very frustrating!

I'd also like to recommend a new electronic edition of Finney's works available from Logos Bible Software as part of the Charles Finney Collection. Not only is this text fully searchable, but Scripture passages (and there are many) are linked to multiple Bible translations.

A) It takes very specific conditions for fossils to form, thus limiting their number to be found. The rest decompose or get broken down into fossil fuel material among other things.

B) Scientists have found quite a number of transitional fossils. Again, I refer you to talkorigins.org which has a great number listed and catergorised. Just type in 'transitional fossils' into their little search field.

Okay, I stand corrected regarding the difference between theories and laws. I did some reading and they were indeed defined as two distinct things. I learned something new. (I think I should flunk all my high school Science teachers for leading me to believe theories evolve into laws.)

The theory of evolution to me just poses more questions left unanswered. One of the many questions I have is regarding the needed number or the vast amount of fossil records required to support morphological changes of a species to form a new one. My understanding is that Darwinian changes are incremental and small. So how many changes are necessary? Can these changes be compared to the fossil records we have? And if indeed they are comparable, have we dug up enough fossils to substantiate the incremental changes?

I believe in microevolution or the minor variations WITHIN a species, just like when a bacteria becomes resistant to antibiotics. The bacteria evolves. Man evolves, we adapt. This is a biological fact. What I do not see are the proportional number of evidences necessary to support macroevolution or the successive small changes for one species to transform into another. There would probably be about 50,000 or more changes for a fish to change to an amphibian or for a reptile to become a bird. If we find 2 fossil records, can we say they support macroevolution or are they are simply uniques species? How do we account for the missing 49,998? If macroevolution were true, I would assume we would be finding fossil records here and there, maybe even in our backyards!
