Prayer for Laborers
Blessed be Your name Father for You are holy! Father, Christ said, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). I pray therefore that You send out laborers into the field. For You also said, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tiding of good things” (Romans 10:15) and that “He that wins a soul is wise” (Proverbs 11:30). For “how shall the lost call on You if they do not believe? And how will they believe in You if they have not heard. And how will they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:15). Send forth more laborers Father, for the harvest is plentiful.
Let Your word reach all the nations through the obedience of Your children. Let the hearts and minds of Your children respond to Your command to preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15), to teach all nations (Matthew 28:19), and to preach the word in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2). Let more of Your children live by the same purpose as Christ had who came to seek and to save which was lost (Luke 19:10) and for sinners to repent (Luke 5:32). Burden our hearts Father to have the same passion as Christ did. I ask this in Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
