“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly [is] plenteous, but the labourers [are] few; “ -Matthew 9:37
030208. We had our first meeting at church today for our mission trip to Cebu. There are about 10 in the team. Please pray for us. Knowing that we are doing this for Christ’s sake, we have established another war with the enemy and he will try to cause whatever it takes to prevent this. We’ve made ourselves target. We need constant prayers as early as now.
So we will be minister mainly to the poor and less privileged. To all of us, it will open our eyes to the blessings that we have. I am happy God granted us the opportunity to carry out His will but there’s something else I’m praying that we could do during our trip.
I heard this somewhere:
“The most effective way of multiplying your ministry is to commit to faithful men the things that you have been taught so they shall be able to lead others.”
Gwen has taught me a similar lesson. She serves the Lord through long-distance Bible lessons. She ministers to several contacts in Taiwan and these people put together their own groups that study the Word of God.
I pray that we would be allowed to hold Way of the Master classes there. This way, even when we leave, the work for the Lord is ongoing. We should be dispensable. It should not just be dependent on us. When I heard the message of Way of the Master, it changed my life completely. The Holy Spirit convicted me of my sins through the presentation of God’s law. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. I pray it would have the same effect on the people in Cebu. May God create a tremendous passion and desire in their hearts to faithfully seek the lost and to preach the Gospel. All for the glory of God.
